How to pay for a new roof in the Upstate

Insurance, financing, or cash — how each works, what it really costs, and how to keep payments safe.

If insurance is paying

For a covered claim, we bill the carrier's approved scope and you pay your deductible. If your policy pays actual cash value or uses a roof payment schedule, you may owe the difference between the payout and the full cost — financing can cover that gap.

Financing a replacement

Financing spreads the cost over monthly payments. Compare the APR, the term, any promotional period and what happens when it ends, and whether there's a prepayment penalty. A longer term lowers the monthly payment but usually costs more overall. We'll show you current terms with the estimate.

Paying directly

We accept cash, check, card or ACH. Payments are tied to milestones — never full payment up front. Be cautious of any roofer who wants the whole amount before work starts.

Ways to keep the cost honest

  • Get a written, line-item estimate
  • Ask what's included for rotted decking before you sign
  • Repair now and replace later, if the roof has life left — we'll tell you
  • Ask about material options; architectural shingles cost less than standing-seam metal

Questions we get every week

Straight answers.

Do you offer financing?
Yes, for roof replacements. Ask us for current terms when we give you the estimate.
Will checking financing affect my credit?
That depends on the lender and the type of credit check. We'll tell you which applies before you apply.
Can I finance my insurance deductible?
You're responsible for your deductible. Financing can be used toward your share of the project, but we never waive or hide a deductible.
